The Experience

Less like a vendor. More like a friend who's really good with a camera.

Not a photoshoot. Not a production. Not a day spent wondering if you're standing in the right place or making the right face. Just your day, unfolding exactly as it should, captured the way it actually felt.

"What I really love about Riley is that he gets to know who you are as a couple. My husband and I both have a difficult time feeling comfortable when our picture is being taken and he made the experience so easy and fun."
, Ally

My whole approach is built around one thing, making sure the people in front of my camera actually enjoy being there.

I'll show up prepared, keep things moving, crack a joke when you need one, and disappear when you don't. The result is a gallery full of moments that look exactly like your day actually felt.

Craft over trend. Real over perfect. Every time.

Riley, Colorado wedding photographer

About Me

Hi, I'm Riley.

A Denver native, mountain biker, and the guy who's been obsessed with photography for as long as I can remember.

I learned this craft the right way, fundamentals first. Proper framing, clean composition, and true-to-color editing that holds up long after trends move on. Craft over trend, always. Your photos should look like your day actually felt, not like whatever aesthetic was popular the month I shot them.

What couples tell me most after their wedding or elopement is that it felt like a day out with a friend who happened to have a camera. That's exactly what I'm going for. I show up having already scouted the location, even when nobody asked me to, so nothing is left to chance. I'll knock out family formals efficiently so nobody's standing around waiting, find the overlook worth the twenty minute hike, and crack a dad joke right when you need one to shake off the nerves.

16+ years behind the lens, with the last 3+ as a full-time wedding photographer. Over 60 couples photographed. I treat every single booking like it's the only one that matters. Because on your day, it is.

FAQ

Your top questions, answered.

How far out should we book?

+

I recommend reaching out as far in advance as possible to lock in your date. Portrait sessions usually book a few weeks ahead, elopements anywhere from 2 to 18 months out, and weddings typically 9–18 months ahead. That said, because I'm a full-time photographer, I can often be flexible, if your event is coming up sooner, don't hesitate to reach out.

Can you share full galleries?

+

Absolutely! On my website I share highlights from weddings and elopements that are compressed for faster loading. If you'd like to see full galleries and get a better sense of what you'll receive, just reach out and I'll happily share them with you.

What are your payment options?

+

I typically do 30% down to reserve your date, with the remainder due 30 days before your wedding. I'm flexible, we can set up monthly payments or whatever works best for you. Plus, I offer a discount for couples who pay upfront.

Do you travel for weddings and sessions?

+

Absolutely! I love an adventure, whether it's exploring the mountains of Colorado or heading off to a dream destination, I'm in. I do not charge travel fees within the state of Colorado.

What if the weather is bad on the day of our session?

+

The choice is yours! We can embrace it, whether it's rain, snow, or wind, sometimes the unexpected weather makes for the most incredible photos. My equipment can handle it. But if you'd rather reschedule, we can definitely find a new date that works.

Where should we go for our elopement or engagement session?

+

I've got you covered. As a Colorado native, I know all the best-hidden gems, those perfect, off-the-beaten-path spots that make for unforgettable photos. We'll work together to pick a location that fits your style.

How long are your wedding packages?

+

My wedding packages typically include 6–8 hours of coverage, but I'm totally flexible. Whether you need a little more time to capture every single detail or a shorter day, we can customize a package that fits perfectly with your vision.

How are photos delivered?

+

You'll get a link to a personalized online gallery where you can download, share, and relive all the moments. They will be online for at least one year from the date of your session.

How long until we get to see our photos?

+

Sneak peeks will hit your inbox within 48 hours, so you'll have something to share with friends and family right away. The full gallery is usually ready within 6–8 weeks for weddings, and about a week for portrait sessions.

Can I add a second shooter?

+

Yes! I can offer a second shooter at an additional cost, $200/hour, but often you don't need them for the full day. Most couples choose to have a second shooter just for getting ready and the ceremony.

How many photos do we get?

+

I don't believe in capping the number of photos. Most weddings are 350+ images, elopements are 250+ images, engagement sessions are 50+ images, and mini-sessions are 15+ images.

How do you back up your photos?

+

My camera shoots everything on two SD cards so there is always a backup. After that, I back everything up on my computer, external drives, and on the cloud. Plus, your online gallery will be live for a year.

Are your packages customizable?

+

Absolutely! I'm all about creating a package that's tailored to your needs. Let's talk and put together something that works for you.

Can we bring our dog?

+

Yes, please do! I'm a huge dog lover myself, I have two of my own. Your furry friend is part of the family, so I'd love to capture those moments with them too.
