Lauren and Josh kept things close to home for their engagement session, a slow afternoon in Longmont with warm Front Range light and zero pressure to perform.
Why Longmont for Your Engagement Session
Longmont sits at the edge of the Front Range, with open fields, foothills, and quiet pockets of farmland just minutes from downtown. It is one of my favorite spots for couples who want mountain backdrops without the crowds of Boulder or Estes Park.
The Session
We wandered through tall grass at golden hour, slowed down for the in-between moments, and let the light do most of the work. Engagement sessions are as much about getting comfortable in front of the camera as they are about the photos themselves, and Lauren and Josh settled in fast.
Planning a Front Range Engagement Session
Late spring through early fall gives the softest light and the fullest fields. Aim for the hour before sunset, bring a second outfit if you want variety, and pick a location that actually feels like you, wedding-day photos always feel more honest when the engagement session does too.
