Jakyle and Brekell picked Lost Gulch Overlook for a reason, it's the kind of view that makes you stop talking for a second. We got there before sunset and let the Front Range do its thing.
Why Lost Gulch Overlook
Lost Gulch sits just up Flagstaff Road above Boulder and looks straight out over the Indian Peaks. It's quick to access, dog-friendly, and the rocks at the edge of the overlook are made for slow, candid portraits at golden hour.
The Session
We kept it simple: walked the rim, sat on the rocks, and let them just be together as the light dropped behind the Continental Divide. No stiff posing, just real moments.
Tips for a Boulder Engagement Session
Arrive at least an hour before sunset to actually enjoy the spot. Parking is limited and the road up Flagstaff is winding, so build in extra time. Bring a layer, even in summer, it cools off fast once the sun drops.
